Does Free Advertising Work

My answer is simply “Of course it does!” However, free advertising comes with it’s own set of challenges. If you don’t know what those challenges are, you could end up wasting a ton of time.
Many people venture online to find their fortune. Initially, they have some idea of what they want to promote and they go about finding a way to get their message out. The easy solution is to start out by paying for advertising. Quite often it does not take long to realize just how quickly you can max-out your credit card and not have much result.
Before you know it, you are spending countless hours searching for free and low-cost marketing ideas. There must be about one-and-a-half-gazillion sources to advertise for free. It is not uncommon to find yourself placing endless ads all over the internet. The problem is you still don’t seem to be able to produce the results you desire.
What most people do not take into consideration is the fact that the people you are advertising to (your audience) are the other advertisers at the same site. they really couldn’t care less about what you are trying to sell. All they care about is getting their message out - just like you.
Before you give up hope… there is a solution.
Rather than promoting your gadget, service or home-based business opportunity directly, you could reverse the tables. By ’serving’ your audience (the other advertisers) you can build a relationship by helping them get what they ‘do’ want. This allows you to gain their respect and build confidence and you will find that some of those people will have an interest in working with you. They will consider you an expert and seek you out.
So, what is it that they ‘do’ want?
Simple. The same thing you do - traffic, leads and sales. Find ways to help them accomplish their goals and you will have a captive audience.
